.....Dr. Calton has been an orthopedic surgeon in Ogden, Utah since 1996. His practice is limited to the treatment of hip and knee arthritis, specifically hip and knee replacement surgery.
....."One of the biggest decisions I had to make in my early training years was in which field to specialize. One of my earliest experiences in orthopedics was treating a lady in Kentucky who had not walked for weeks and was told by her doctor that her arthritis was so severe she probably would not walk again. She heard that our surgeons could perform knee replacement surgery and came in for treatment. Six weeks after surgery she WALKED into the clinic with a big smile, having “regained her life,” feeling like a miracle had been performed. I had not seen a life so profoundly affected by medical intervention. I decided then to pursue orthopedic training in general, and to specialize in joint replacement surgery specifically, to enable me to provide state of the art joint replacement care."
.....In 1998 Dr. Calton founded the Calton-Harrison Clinic with his partner,Dr. Jeffrey Harrison, a SportsMedicine Specialist. The practice has grown to include: Dr. Neil Callister, Hand and Upper Extremity Specialist,Dr. Howard Richter, Trauma Specialist and Dr. Nicholas Goucher, Foot and Ankle Specialist.
.....Dr. Calton is a graduate of Weber State University located in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from The University of Louisville Medical School. He completed a Fellowship in Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery in Charlotte, North Carolina.
.....He is involved in the design of primary and revision knee replacement components and in computer assisted surgery, minimally invasive techniques, partial knee replacement and innovative approaches to joint replacement surgery.
